Resuscitation Training
Filed 15.03.2008

After our participation in last years Extra Mile Challenge, Cawleys and Gibbs & Dandy have organised CPR/Resuscitation Training for anyone who wishes to take part at Bedford Hospital on the 14th April 2008.

The training is being held in memory of Gary Godleman of Cawleys, who sadly passed away whilst taking part in the bike ride last year. It is hoped that by undergoing this training, lives may be saved in the future.

The course is approximately 2 hours long and will cover key life-saving skills. Participants will be taught how to lift the chin to open the airway, give effective rescue breaths and perform chest compressions. All learners will be given the opportunity to practice their skills on a resuscitation manikin.

Coffee tea and biscuits will be provided, and there is a charge of £10 to participate. Cawleys and Gibbs & Dandy will also each put in £5 per person. This will cover the cost of the course and a donation to Gary’s chosen charity - Willen Hospice.

The course is at 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start and you can register to take part at www.cawleys.co.uk

If we are over subscribed, we may schedule another course in Milton Keynes later in the year.
